Deck Building in Apex & the Triangle
Custom new decks in pressure-treated lumber or composite, built from scratch.
Yes — I build new decks from scratch in Apex and across the Triangle, in pressure-treated lumber or composite decking. Every deck is custom-quoted after a free assessment, permits are handled when required, and I’m insured. I build and manage every deck personally; on larger builds I bring in extra hands, and you still deal with me from the first estimate to the final walkthrough.

Pressure-treated lumber or composite?
Pressure-treated lumber has a lower upfront cost and the classic wood look, but it needs regular cleaning and staining or sealing to last in Triangle weather. Composite costs more upfront and needs much less maintenance over the years. I build with both, and I’ll help you choose based on your budget and how much upkeep you want to do.
How a deck build works
- Free on-site assessment: we look at the space, your goals and your budget
- Design and custom quote: scope, materials and layout agreed in writing
- Permit: I handle it when one is required
- Build: framing, decking, stairs and railings
- Final walkthrough with you
Prices depend on the size and height of the deck, the materials, and site conditions, so every deck is quoted individually. I manage every build personally and bring in extra hands only when the job is too large for one person.

Deck Building — common questions
Do you pull the permit for a new deck?
Yes. I handle the permit when one is required for your deck.

How much does a new deck cost?
It depends on the size, height, materials and site conditions, so every deck is custom-quoted after a free on-site assessment. I don’t publish fixed prices for builds.
Who actually builds the deck?
I do. I manage every build personally, and on larger builds I bring in extra hands. You deal with me from the first estimate to the final walkthrough.
